First Visit | Torrey Pines Orthodontics

We are always excited about meeting new patients and we want to hear about your concerns.

At your initial visit Dr. Merz will do a thorough exam and discuss potential treatment options. We take complimentary photographs and digital radiographic images to allow a more comprehensive diagnosis during the examination. This important one hour exam will give you insights into your orthodontic needs.

We know your time is valuble, so to expidite treatment, also reserve 15 minutes after the exam for diagnostic impressions for study models which are necessary for planning the details of the complete treatment plan.

During the exam we will address the following questions and encourage you to ask your qustionsl:

Is this a condition that orthodontics can address?
Is treatment needed now, or should treatment be delayed?
What procedures will be used to correct the problem?
Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
How long will treatment take?
How much will it cost?
What are my payment options?

While Dr. Merz can answer many questions about treatment, she will address specific areas after careful analysis of the diagnostic records.

A second visit will be scheduled to discuss the details of treatment and answer any remaining questions. Treatment indicated can also begin.
